Simple Designs and Quality of Manufacture

Our main business is the production of high quality prints, but we do offer a limited framing service in a selection of mouldings which we believe work well with our images. Our frames are of simple design and made with quality materials by 'Fine Art Trade Guild' craftsmen. Please take a few moments to read about our service and the various moulding and mount options that are available.

Before framing our prints, we first insert them into a soft white bevelled mount. This procedure has three benefits; it determines and maintains the print's precise position within the frame, it allows the print to 'breathe' when subjected to variations in temperature and humidity, and finally it esnures that the printed surface does not come into contact with the glazing.

Because all our frames are shipped by mail or carrier, our primary considerations during manufacture are to ensure that they are strong, safe and lightweight. To reduce the overall frame weight yet maintain strength, all our frames are fitted with Art Screen Clear acrylic glazing.

Please note that glazed framed prints are produced on Enhanced Matte White papers. If you require a canvas print framed, then you must choose the 'CUBIX' frame option.

Your Choice of Frame Mouldings
Duddon Oak Duddon Oak
This beautiful, premium quality and very popular moulding makes a welcome return to our range. It is 35mm flat moulding made from natural oak with a barefaced finish. Wood grain patterns vary between batches as one would expect with the natural character of the wood. However, patterns are always matched as best as possible when the frames are produced. This is an excellent all-round choice - ideal for use with traditional and modern domestic styles. Works well with all our images, both British and Himalayan.
Hawes Beech Hawes Beech
Another beautiful, premium quality and very popular moulding making a welcome return to our range. It is 30mm moulding made from natural beech with a barefaced finish and has a very gentle cushion profile. Wood grain patterns vary between batches as one would expect with the natural character of the wood. However, patterns are always matched as best as possible when the frames are produced. This is an excellent all-round choice - ideal for use with traditional and modern domestic styles. Works well with all our images, both British and Himalayan.
Laxford Classic Laxford Classic
A 45mm traditional banded stained wood moulding with gold sight edge. One of our most popular mouldings, ideal for those who require a traditional or classic look to their frames. A good all-round choice which works well with images of all types and characteristics.
Brecon Mahogany Brecon Mahogany
This a 36mm 'chunky' wooden moulding with a mixed brown fleck finish. A good all-round choice - ideal for use with traditional and modern domestic styles. Works well with all our images, particularly so with snowy scenes, The Himalayas and Everest.
Cool Silver Cool Silver
A 30mm wooden sprayed frosted silver moulding with the most gentle cushion profile. Ideal for use with modern domestic and corporate styles. Experience has shown that it works well with all our images but particularly with those which exhibit cool tones - such as Himalayan and British Winter scenes.
Shaped Silver Shaped Silver
A 39mm wooden shaped silver foil moulding. This is a beautiful moulding which, from certain angles, has an appearance similar to what one might describe as 'white gold'. Ideal for use with traditional and modern domestic styles. Experience has shown that it works well with our images which exhibit warm tones - grasses, autumn colours, sunrises and sunsets.
Ebony Polished Ebony
A 48mm wooden dome moulding with a rich gloss black finish. Suitable for use in a modern or 'minimalist' domestic settings and corporate applications. A good all-round moulding which works well with images of all types and characteristics.
Cubix
A 50mm deep flat moulding without a face rebate, so the whole of the image is visible to the viewer. Supplied in a dark brown (Mahogany) finish. Canvas prints are mounted onto self-adhesive board and then placed into the face of the frame. The process is completed with the application of a gloss spray varnish to protect the surface of the print. Suitable for use in a modern or 'minimalist' domestic settings and corporate applications. A good all-round moulding which works well with images of all types and characteristics.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT MOULDINGS :-

We reserve the right to change the specification of our mouldings from time to time and from batch to batch. Although the mouldings will change, we shall ensure continuity in the general appearance of our product range.

We guarantee that any customer who orders several frames in a single order will be supplied with frames made from the same batch of moulding. However, we cannot guarantee that any customer who places a return order for frames some time later will receive mouldings from the same batch.
